Priscilla Buentello

SPECIALIZES IN ANXIETY, TRAUMA, & DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

My name is Priscilla Buentello and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in English. After I graduated from Texas A&M, I began working at a residential treatment center for underage female domestic sex trafficking survivors, and it was through that work that I realized my passion for trauma work and mental health. Afterward, I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University. It was during that time that I moved on to work at a shelter for survivors of domestic violence. I later interned at the same organization, and have had the opportunity to work with individuals who have experienced domestic and family violence, including both adults and adolescents, as well as anxiety and childhood trauma.

As a counselor, I believe that you are the expert in your own life, and I can offer a non-judgmental supportive space to help guide you through exploring your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I believe we can come to understand our responses and work with our minds and bodies and not against them. Together we can build awareness, utilize strengths, and develop coping skills to empower you to face life’s challenges with a sense of confidence. I would be honored to support you in your journey toward mental health and happiness.
