Rachel Hamblin

SEES AGES 3 AND UP & SPECIALIZES IN ANXIETY, DEPRESSION AND LIFE TRANSITIONS

My name is Rachel Hamblin, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate under the supervision of Rhea Lester, M.Ed., LPC-S. I work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds looking for a safe space to navigate the challenges they are facing. Beyond the counseling office, I am a mom (to two cool kids and one French bulldog), a yogi, and an avid reader always looking for the next great read.

I first graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Physiology from Utah State University in 2009. Upon graduation, I worked in employee benefits as a health coach for a corporate wellness organization.  As a health coach, I used my understanding of human behavior and my ability to connect with others to empower others to transform their health habits and build up lives that were in sync with their values. While I enjoyed working with clients, I found myself drawn to wanting to understand more about the connection between our mental, physical, and emotional well-being. I returned to obtain my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. My education in counseling allowed me to dive deep into the theory and practice of building a therapeutic partnership that not only changes behavior but transforms lives, creates insight, and heals unseen wounds.

My goal is to provide a compassionate space for individuals and couples of all ages to work through difficulties like anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. My approach is holistic and tailored to each client, drawing from evidence-based methods like Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment theory, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as mindfulness-based practices.

I personally believe that authenticity and collaboration are the keys to a successful therapeutic partnership. If you're looking to better understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, reach out and let's connect.
